Toce Performance Frequently Asked Questions

Many items ship within 24 hours; however, some products may be temporarily backordered or subject to production delays depending on demand and seasonal workload.

If an item is backordered or delayed, this will typically be noted at the top of the website or during checkout so customers are aware before completing their purchase.

Important: shipping options such as Overnight or 2-Day refer to the carrier's transit time after the order has shipped, not the time required to manufacture or prepare the order.

If you did not create an account during checkout, create one using the same email address used for the purchase and your order should automatically appear in the account.

Shipping costs are calculated during checkout based on your destination, package size and weight, insurance requirements, and the available carrier services.

Add the items to your cart and enter your shipping address to view the currently available shipping options and prices.

Delivery time depends on your location and the shipping method selected. Domestic shipments can arrive as quickly as the next day or may take approximately a week depending on the carrier and destination.

Carrier delivery estimates begin once the order has shipped. They do not begin on the date the order was placed.

Yes. If multiple orders are placed close together, we can often combine them into one shipment.

Contact us as soon as possible with the order numbers so we can try to combine them before either order enters final packing or ships.

All Toce Performance orders are insured for loss and damage.

If tracking shows delivered but you cannot locate the package, contact the shipping carrier first because they can view the delivery scan, GPS information, driver notes, and other delivery details.

If the carrier cannot locate the shipment after its investigation, contact Toce Performance and we will assist with the insurance claim and replacement process as applicable.

Tracking information can take up to 24 hours to appear after a label is created or the package is scanned by the carrier.

If a tracking number was recently issued, allow the carrier's system time to update before assuming the package has not shipped.

International shipping can take anywhere from approximately 4 days to 4 weeks depending on the destination and customs processing times.

Many shipments arrive within about a week, but customs delays are outside of Toce Performance's control and can significantly extend delivery time.

Some countries charge duties, taxes, brokerage fees, or other processing charges when goods enter the country.

These fees are determined by your local government or carrier and are not included in the product or shipping price collected by Toce Performance. The customer is responsible for import duties, taxes, and local fees assessed by the destination country.

No. We are legally required to provide accurate product descriptions and values on customs documentation.

We cannot falsify the value, mark commercial merchandise as a gift, or otherwise provide inaccurate customs information.

International shipping rates are determined by the carrier using package dimensions, weight, destination, service level, and insurance value.

Toce Performance ships international orders insured so that a lost or damaged shipment can be handled through the carrier's claim process and replaced when appropriate.

If your order has not shipped, we can generally cancel it. Contact us as soon as possible during business hours.

If the order has already shipped, a return request will need to be submitted after delivery and the normal return policy will apply.

Orders can usually be modified if they have not yet shipped or entered final production/packing.

Contact us as soon as possible with your order number and the change you would like to make.

Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery.

Unopened items may be subject to a 5–15% restocking fee to cover payment-processing and administrative costs. Exhaust systems that have been installed, run, marked, damaged, or otherwise show signs of use may be subject to a higher rework/restocking charge depending on condition.

Customers are responsible for return shipping unless the return is the result of an error by Toce Performance.

If Toce Performance accidentally shipped the wrong item, contact us with your order number and photos of what was received. We will arrange the correct replacement and return of the incorrect item.

If the wrong item was ordered by mistake, we will provide return instructions and the normal return policy will apply.

Yes. Toce Performance exhaust systems are engineered to reduce restriction, improve exhaust flow, and support improved engine performance.

Actual horsepower gains vary by motorcycle, exhaust configuration, ECU calibration, intake modifications, fuel, and other supporting modifications.

Factory exhaust systems often contain large catalytic converters, heavy steel chambers, and substantial sound-reduction components. Replacing those assemblies with a performance exhaust can provide meaningful weight savings.

Actual weight reduction varies by model and by whether the Toce product is a slip-on, cat-delete, or complete full system.

Installing an aftermarket exhaust does not automatically void the motorcycle's entire warranty in the United States. A manufacturer may, however, deny coverage for a specific failure if it can demonstrate that the aftermarket modification caused or contributed to that failure.

Warranty treatment can vary by manufacturer, dealer, country, and modification, so customers should review the warranty terms applicable to their motorcycle.

Most slip-on systems do not trigger a check-engine light because the factory emissions sensors and catalytic converter may remain in place.

Some full systems or cat-delete configurations alter oxygen-sensor placement, exhaust-valve operation, or other monitored components. On supported motorcycles, ECU flashing can be used to address applicable exhaust-servo or sensor-related ECU functions.

Toce ECU flash note: Toce disables the exhaust-servo function on every ECU flash we currently offer except Ducati applications.

Unless a product page specifically states otherwise, Toce Performance exhaust systems are designed to operate safely with the motorcycle's factory fuel system.

An ECU flash is not required simply to install most Toce systems, but it is highly recommended where available. A properly calibrated flash can significantly improve overall drivability, remove applicable factory limitations, provide smoother power delivery, and help the motorcycle operate cooler.

Whenever exhaust or intake airflow is changed, contact us if you are unsure whether your particular combination should be reflashed.

It depends on the product. Many slip-on systems retain the factory catalytic converter, while cat-delete and full-system products may remove or replace the factory catalytic-converter assembly.

The product description for your specific motorcycle will identify the exhaust configuration.

Sound level varies significantly by engine platform, exhaust layout, RPM, measurement location, and whether an optional DB Killer is installed.

Toce systems are designed to produce a deep, aggressive performance sound. For the best representation of a specific bike, review the sound clips on our product pages and YouTube channel.

Yes. ABS does not create an exhaust-fitment difference on the applications we manufacture. Our exhaust systems do not interfere with the ABS system.

ECU flashes also do not disable ABS. On nearly all motorcycles, ABS is controlled by a separate standalone system. On applicable flashes, Toce can disable the ECU code associated with the front wheel-speed sensor without disabling the ABS controller itself.

If your motorcycle is not listed on the Toce Performance website, we do not currently manufacture a confirmed system for that model or year.

You are welcome to contact us with the exact year, make, and model. We can confirm whether another application has been tested or add the motorcycle to our development-request list when appropriate.

Toce exhaust systems are vehicle-specific; we do not sell universal exhaust systems.

Yes. Toce Performance exhaust systems and components are designed and manufactured in-house at our facility in Manchester, Connecticut.

Our systems use multi-piece machined and fabricated components that are welded and assembled by our team using materials selected for durability, weight, sound, and performance.

No. Toce exhaust systems are designed to work with the factory fuel system unless a specific product is noted otherwise, so an ECU flash is not required simply to install the exhaust.

That said, an ECU flash is strongly recommended on the 2015–2026 Yamaha R1 and R1M. The flash allows the motorcycle to take full advantage of the freer-flowing exhaust, improves overall drivability, removes applicable factory limitations, provides smoother power delivery, and can help the motorcycle run cooler.

If you are changing the exhaust, intake, air filter, velocity stacks, or other airflow-related components, let us know the complete setup so we can make sure the calibration matches the motorcycle.

Toce supports both the Yamaha R1 and R1M in this year range. The core flash strategy does not change simply because the motorcycle is an R1 versus an R1M.

Depending on the ECU and requested setup, the flash can optimize fueling, throttle behavior, ignition-related parameters, cooling-fan operation, engine braking, RPM-related settings, and other applicable factory restrictions.

We also disable the factory exhaust-servo function on all Toce ECU flashes except Ducati applications.

Write the motorcycle's complete modification list and any specific requests on the ECU flash form. If anything about the setup needs clarification, we will contact you before tuning the ECU.

The 2009–2014 R1 does not always use an O2 sensor. On this generation, the O2-equipped ECU configuration is primarily found on Japanese-market ECUs.

If your motorcycle does have an O2 sensor and you are having the ECU flashed, we can delete the O2 function when requested. For the Toce performance setup, removal is generally the preferred option when the sensor is present.

If you are unsure which ECU or market version you have, send us the ECU part number and your motorcycle information before removing anything.

If you remove the Toce baffle/resonator arrangement and want to affix the factory spring tabs back onto the motorcycle, you can install 1/4-20 bolts in the tubes for the spring-tab mounting points.

Make sure the hardware is properly tightened and positioned so the spring tabs are secure and cannot contact moving parts or hot surfaces improperly.

No. The Toce R7 exhaust is designed to operate with the factory fuel system, so an ECU flash is not required simply to install the exhaust.

We do, however, highly recommend flashing the ECU. A properly calibrated flash can dramatically improve overall drivability, remove applicable factory limitations, smooth the power delivery, optimize the motorcycle for the exhaust and intake setup, and help the engine operate cooler.

If the bike also has an air filter, velocity stacks, intake changes, or other performance modifications, list everything on the flash form so the ECU can be configured for the complete setup.

No. Toce ECU flashes do not disable or interfere with the motorcycle's ABS system. On nearly all motorcycles, ABS operates through a separate standalone controller.

On applicable motorcycles, we can disable the ECU fault/code associated with the front wheel-speed sensor for customers who want that option. This does not disable the standalone ABS system itself.

Do not physically remove or disconnect ABS components unless you understand the effect that hardware change will have on the motorcycle.

Purchase the correct ECU flash for your motorcycle on the Toce Performance website. Your order-confirmation email will include the ECU mailer/release form.

Complete the form with your motorcycle information, modification list, and any requested flash options. Place the physical copy of the form in the box with the ECU. This gives us the information we need even if the outside label or packaging becomes separated from the ECU.

Mail the ECU to Toce Performance and we will handle the rest. We consider ECU flashing a 24-hour service once the ECU arrives, and in most cases we are able to flash and ship it back the same day.

If you ordered an air filter, exhaust parts, or other items at the same time, we can return everything together in one insured shipment. When the ECU comes back, installation is plug-in-and-go.

Whenever you make a change to the motorcycle's exhaust or intake airflow, contact us and let us know what changed. Some changes may not require a new calibration, while others can materially affect the setup and should be reflashed.

Toce does not charge for ECU reworks. Send the ECU back to us with a note listing the previous setup, the new setup, and any requested changes. Include a prepaid return-shipping label and we will update the calibration for you.

Yes. There are many ECU options available on the motorcycles we support, although the exact functions vary by ECU and model.

Outline the specific behavior you want on the form that you send in with the ECU. Include the complete modification list and any requests involving cooling-fan temperature, engine braking, RPM-related settings, O2 operation, deceleration behavior, or other available options.

We also disable the exhaust-servo function on every ECU flash we currently offer except Ducati models.

If we have any questions or concerns about the requested setup, we will contact you before tuning the ECU rather than guessing.

The exhaust systems are generally very similar across the related FZ-09 / MT-09 CP3 applications, but there are important year-to-year mounting changes.

The 2020–2023 and 2024–2026 applications use different mounting brackets. Because of those bracket changes, always order by the exact model year rather than assuming the hardware is identical.

If you already own a Toce system and are changing motorcycles, contact us before replacing the entire exhaust. In many cases, the appropriate mounting hardware can be purchased separately.

Sharing the Yamaha CP3 engine does not automatically mean every chassis uses identical exhaust mounting hardware. Different CP3 models and year ranges can use different brackets, clearances, bodywork, and mounting locations.

Many Toce CP3 systems share enough of the core exhaust architecture that an existing system can sometimes be retained when moving to a newer or related CP3 motorcycle. In those cases, the correct model-specific brackets or hardware can often be purchased individually instead of replacing the complete exhaust.

Contact us with the exact current motorcycle, exact new motorcycle, and both model years before transferring the system so we can confirm which parts are required.

The optional Toce Decibel Killer / DB Killer is not included with the exhaust unless it was specifically purchased as a separate item.

We originally found that many riders removed the DB Killer, so we made it an individual product and reduced the base price of the exhaust instead of charging every customer for a part they may not use.

A DB Killer should not be confused with the muffler's internal baffle assembly. Every Toce muffler is already baffled and packed from the factory. Our mufflers are not empty open-ended straight pipes.

The internal baffle assembly is installed at the factory and sealed with high-temperature silicone.

Yes. Toce DB Killers are removable on all of our current exhaust systems that accept them.

You can install the DB Killer when you want additional sound reduction and remove it later if you prefer the exhaust without it. Follow the mounting procedure for your specific muffler and make sure all retaining hardware is secure before riding.

Yes. The Toce full exhaust system is the same core system for the GSX-8S, GSX-8R, GSX-8T, and GSX-8TT within the listed 2023–2026 application range.

The system was designed with clearance for the fairings and surrounding components used on the different GSX-8 trims, so customers do not need a completely different exhaust simply because the motorcycle is the S, R, T, or TT version.

A small amount of additional O2-sensor harness slack is normal on the Toce GSX-8 full system.

The O2 sensor is intentionally positioned farther rearward because these motorcycles respond well to the longer-primary exhaust design and the sensor position follows that layout.

Pull the excess harness gently upward and route it through the factory retainers/fixings. The wiring should have enough movement that it is not under tension, while remaining clear of hot exhaust surfaces, sharp edges, and moving components.

Do not stretch, cut, splice, or tightly pull the O2 wiring simply to eliminate visible slack.

The DB Killer is installed or removed by accessing the muffler/tip mounting area for the GSX-8 system. Once the retaining hardware is removed, separate the mating surfaces carefully rather than forcing or prying against finished components.

During reassembly, use a small dab of high-temperature silicone / RTV on the inside of each mating surface. Only a small amount is necessary; the purpose is to help the assembly seat and seal properly, not to fill the entire joint with silicone.

Reinstall and tighten the retaining hardware securely before riding.

No. Toce Performance exhaust systems do not have ECE, E-mark, homologation, JASMA, or other road-legal certification documents, and we cannot supply certificates stating that they do.

Regulations vary by country, state, province, inspection authority, and intended use. International customers should verify their local requirements before ordering if legal certification is required for registration, inspection, or public-road use.

No. ABS does not create an exhaust-fitment difference on the CBR600RR applications we manufacture.

The Toce exhaust does not interfere with the ABS hardware, and there is no separate exhaust version required simply because the motorcycle is equipped with ABS. Order the exhaust by the correct CBR600RR model year and product configuration.

If there is no ECU-flash product listed for your motorcycle on the Toce Performance website, we do not currently service that ECU.

For unsupported motorcycles, we recommend reaching out to our friends at 2 Wheel DynoWorks. They support a wide range of motorcycles and have individual exhaust-specific mapping available for many Toce exhaust configurations.

The rear-cylinder exhaust configuration is different between the earlier FTR and the 2022+ platform, so the exhaust cannot be treated as the same application.

On the earlier 2019–2020 configuration, the Toce cat-delete/link-pipe arrangement can replace the applicable factory section.

On the 2022+ FTR, the factory muffler box is welded to the stock header, which means the earlier cat-delete does not work on the newer motorcycle.

If you want to remove that factory restriction on a 2022+ FTR, use the Toce product specifically designed for the newer year range rather than attempting to adapt the earlier cat-delete.

No. Across the Ducati 848, 899, 959, 1199, and 1299 applications, a tune or UpMap is not required simply to install and safely operate a Toce exhaust when the motorcycle otherwise retains a stock-style intake configuration.

Tuning can still be beneficial for overall drivability and performance, especially as intake airflow or other engine modifications are increased, but the exhaust itself does not automatically require an UpMap just to run correctly.

Toce mufflers are baffled and packed from the factory. If an optional DB Killer is available for your particular Ducati system, adding it is intended to reduce sound and does not require a separate tune simply because it was installed.

Ducati ECU note: Ducati models are the exception to our normal exhaust-servo-flash rule. We do not automatically disable the exhaust-servo function on Ducati ECU flashes.

Because of the number of Challenger and PowerPlus exhaust variations Toce has developed and built over the years, along with our continuing R&D on these platforms, we recommend working with 210 Speed Lab for these particular motorcycles.

They have extensive exhaust-specific mapping experience with Toce Challenger / PowerPlus combinations. That becomes even more important when the motorcycle also has an aftermarket intake, cams, increased displacement, or other engine modifications.

The calibration should be matched to the motorcycle's complete configuration rather than simply being used to turn off a warning light. When contacting the tuner, provide the exact year/model, Toce exhaust configuration, intake, cams, displacement, and any other relevant engine modifications.

All current Toce FZ-10 / MT-10 exhaust applications are designed as cat-delete systems that retain the factory headers rather than replacing the complete header assembly.

The factory FZ-10 / MT-10 headers flow very well, so our system removes the restrictive factory catalyst/muffler section and replaces the exhaust from that point rearward.

Customers should therefore not expect a replacement set of primary header tubes to arrive with the system.

On applicable FZ-10 / MT-10 models, the O2 sensors are disabled in the ECU calibration so the motorcycle runs the appropriate tuned fuel tables.

However, on motorcycles equipped with cruise control and related factory electronic features, the O2 sensors still need to remain physically plugged into the wiring harness for those factory systems to continue functioning correctly.

In other words, the ECU may no longer be using the O2 sensor feedback to control the normal fuel tables, but physically unplugging the sensors can still cause the motorcycle's electronics to recognize that the components are missing.

A Toce ECU flash does not disable the motorcycle's standalone ABS system, and the exhaust-servo function is disabled on supported non-Ducati ECU flashes.

Yes. If Toce supports ECU tuning for your motorcycle, you do not have to be using a complete Toce exhaust system.

Toce operates as a dyno-tuning facility during the riding season, and over the years we have configured many different combinations for customers. This includes Toce components mixed with other aftermarket parts, third-party slip-ons, other full systems, aftermarket headers, intake changes, velocity stacks, air filters, and additional performance modifications.

What matters is that we know the motorcycle's complete current configuration. List the exact exhaust type, whether the catalyst is present or removed, intake/filter/stacks, engine modifications, and anything else that changes airflow or fueling.

You are welcome to identify the exact products installed on your motorcycle. If we have any concern about a particular combination, we will contact you before tuning it rather than guessing.

When an application requires exhaust gaskets to be replaced during installation, Toce will include the appropriate factory-spec replacement gaskets with the system.

In some applications, we may supply genuine OEM gaskets where appropriate.

Not every motorcycle uses a replaceable crush-style gasket, and not every installation requires the same sealing components, so the contents of the kit vary by vehicle.

If you are reinstalling a header that has already been removed or you need replacement gaskets later, factory-spec or OEM replacements are appropriate. If you are unsure what your motorcycle requires, contact us with the exact year, make, model, and exhaust configuration.

For a 2021 Honda Grom, order by the actual body/chassis style of the motorcycle, not only by the model year printed on the registration.

If the bike has the newer body style, use the 2022+ Toce application.

If it has the older 2017–2020 body style, use the 2017–2020 application.

Some motorcycles sold or titled as 2021 models may be older-style carryover inventory, which is why the visual configuration matters on this particular year.

If you are unsure, send us a clear photo of the motorcycle's bodywork/rear section before ordering and we can confirm the correct system.

At this time, Toce does not offer a removable DB Killer for T-Slash exhaust systems unless a specific compatible product is listed on the website.

T-Slash mufflers already contain their normal internal baffle assemblies and packing from the factory. The physical size and internal layout of the T-Slash canisters do not provide the same space used by the removable DB Killer systems found on some of our other muffler designs.

Adding too much additional restriction inside these small canisters can negatively affect exhaust flow.

We have experimented with application-specific sound-reduction concepts on certain motorcycles, but if a DB Killer or sound-reduction component is not currently listed for your exact system on TocePerformance.com, it is not available for purchase at this time.

Yes. Because Toce exhaust systems are manufactured in-house, you can purchase individual components of the exhaust system when you need to repair, replace, or reconfigure an existing setup.

Start in the Replacement Components section of TocePerformance.com for your motorcycle.

Depending on the application, individual parts can include mufflers/canisters, tips, headers, midpipes or link pipes, brackets, hardware, springs, baffle assemblies, and other system components.

If a header or another major component is listed separately inside the motorcycle's category, read that product description carefully. It will explain whether that component works with the factory exhaust, an existing Toce slip-on, a particular Toce system, or another specific configuration.

If you cannot identify the correct component, contact us with the year/make/model, your current exhaust setup, and preferably an order number or photo so we can point you to the correct part.

Toce does not currently offer ceramic coating or Cerakote services.

We do offer black powder-coating options on many exhaust systems and components, but not every header or motorcycle application is suitable for that finish.

Availability depends on the specific system and what we have learned from previous heat and durability testing on that application.

If the website does not show a black-header option for the system you want, you are welcome to email us with the exact year, make, model, and exhaust system.

We can advise whether we have successfully powder-coated that header configuration before, whether it is something we can accommodate as a special request, or whether we recommend a different finishing method for that particular application.
