K&N is the home of the original red oiled air filter. In the early 1960s, two motorcycle racers, Ken Johnson and Norm McDonald (K&N), developed a ground-breaking new idea for an oiled air filter. Five decades later, K&N® is still innovating industry-leading filtration technology, and offers outstanding protection for everything from top-fuel dragsters to commuter vehicles across the globe. K&N Race Air Filters are designed to achieve a virtually unrestricted air flow while maintaining filtration levels critical to engine life and performance. The secret to their success lies in the unique characteristics of the filter medium which was originally developed by K&N all those years ago in the dust, sweat and tears of desert motocross racing.
These Race Specific filters do require a bit more maintenance, and we highly suggest some type of fuel management or running our Toce ECU Flash with your setup as changes to the intake delivery system & exhaust will require rebalancing to the fuel tables for optimum performance. These filters are designed for asphalt / track and closed course competition scenarios only.
