Toce Performance has teamed up with Brentune to offer their Powergate Hand Held Tuning interfaces to unleash the true power of the BMW S1000RR's with your Toce Exhaust System.
The team at Toce Performance worked hard on developing it's full exhaust system for the BMW S1000RR's, and paired with the Brentune Interface and custom same day dyno tuning + tweaking, we were able to generate +18 whp from stock on pump gas.. The Powergate's come loaded with a complimentary Alpha N remap that has been refined over the past 6 years and become a staple in the S1000RR community. Addon's and Extra Features
HP4 Mimic Launch Control for 2012 - 2014 BMW S1000RR's.
The LC works just like it does on the HP4 and 2015+RR where you hold the start button, pin the throttle and hold on. While the HP4 and ’15+ have an “L-CON” symbol on the dash, when implemented on the 2012-2014, only the yellow triangle is activated which lets you know that LC is on. We are going to work on coding in the near future to add “L-CON” to the standard RR gauge cluster, additionally we are still actively working on the 2010-2011 LC that everyone is itching for.
The benefit of adding launch control is consistent, repeatable launches time after time. You can finally get your RR off the line without worrying about flipping over! This is beneficial to drag racers, track riders and also street racers.
This feature is only available for 2012-2014 RR’s as of now. If you have a 2012-14, we do ask that you have the most recent software version which can be updated by your BMW dealer. The LC addition is available with our Powergate 3 handheld
FINAL EDITION MAPPING
AlphaN is a different type of fueling strategy used by motorsport racing teams and OEM manufacturers alike. It is a means of tuning using a fuel look up table and throttle position. The advantages of AlphaN are simple; more relative filing (power), accurate fueling at any throttle angle, razor sharp throttle response with lambda trimming and full ECU control, engine smoothness and of course, increased horsepower. AlphaN works similar to a PC5 by calculating fuel but with the ability to trim fuel (oxygen sensors) for the current conditions. It works very well in engines with individual throttle bodies, aggressive high compression engines and high rpm racing environments; the S1000RR checks off all of these boxes. Given the new air/fuel calculation that is now being used, the ignition strategy also had to be revisited as well along with throttle maps.
The bike is different all around once when converted to Full Alpha-N. Starting from the sound of it, to the extra torque and even smoother rev matching, Alpha-N is beneficial all around. Mid-range and low end throttle response makes the bike razor sharp, fun to ride and on the power all the time. It is very much like a real race bike but now except in street form. It feels and operates completely different while still giving you the riding confidence of your previous tune.
The only downsides of Alpha-N are with emissions and four season climates, both of which do not apply to racing or motorsports type motorcycles. For that, in comes mass air flow sensors for cars/bikes that needs to meet emissions and extreme cold/hot temperatures which BMW uses on more of their touring style bikes.
Many OEMs use this in their racing and motorsports series including Ducati, BMW M, and AMG. Many tuners have adopted this on automobiles as a add-on for power on tuning N/A motors (E46 M3 and E39 M5 have amazing gains over normal tuning).
So, so the team at Brentune has tweaked and adjusted this to work on any 2010-2016 S1000RR/HP4. Over the last 6 months they have been taking bikes we have previously calibrated using the original factory means and converted them to Alpha-N. We have consistently watched the gains on the dyno and then tested on the street/track in real world conditions. All converted bikes/riders have said that it is a night and day difference. After much testing, it’s finally ready to go public.
Quantitatively, the Alpha-N bikes typically make an additional 8-9HP above 9000RPMS on a stock S1000RR motor. It also makes tuning our upcoming camshaft and piston upgrades seamless. It will also allow for perfect tuning of our upcoming carbon fiber airbox without requiring drastic custom dyno tuning for high end modifications. For those who love the ride, you can enjoy your bike all over again with Alpha-N tuning.

STAGE 3, 10-14 BENEFITS ADDED TO “FINAL EDITION” MAPPING
We have found even more functions and small bits of power with this update. The long awaited cooling fan mod is now available on all BMSK BMW bikes 2009-2014 BMW S1000RR/HP4. We have also incorporated new features, full exhaust flap control for valved exhausts, full recalculation of the ASC torque control for straight line and cornering for maximum performance, per cylinder fuel tuning designed around the Akrapovic header or other high flow systems, fully de-restricted launch control, smoother idle speeds and fueling for full exhaust, faster quick shifter timing, better cooling and engine prevention in staging lanes idling for drag strip or circuit.
STAGE 3, 15-16 BENEFITS ADDED TO “FINAL EDITION” MAPPING
We have found even more functions and small bits of power with this update. This converts it to a 2017+ BMW like power levels and mid-range. The long awaited cooling fan mod is now available on all BMSX BMW bikes 2015-2016 BMW S1000RR. We have also incorporated new features: full exhaust flap control for valved exhausts, full recalculation of the ASC torque control for straight line and cornering for maximum performance, per cylinder fuel tuning designed around the Akrapovic header or other high flow systems, remapped throttle angles for increased bottom end and mid-range, and increased top end. Better power on all fuels 91, 93 and MR12 leading to higher trap speeds in testing. Smoother idle speeds and fueling for full exhaust, fully re-calibrated UP and DOWN shifts for faster quick shifter timing, better cooling and engine prevention in staging lanes idling for drag strip or circuit.
Sprint Filter + IAT Kit
Built by Sprint, for the best S1000RR performance, all of our remaps are made around these. The competing filters little to no power over factory paper filter with some actually losing power while filtering less. We have tested this filter and seen 2-4WHP on a large sample of bikes including at our dealers around the world. No brainer upgrade, along with our IAT kit. This relocates the Intake Air Temp (IAT) sensor. Moving the sensor from the factory location near the cylinder heads and moving to the front of the bike away from the hot engine provides consistent power production. Commonly used in race bike applications and how Ducati’s come from the factory, not a “trick” like other options on the market with a resistor, this lets the bike read true ambient air temperature. Allows for more accurate fueling and ignition without inaccurate compensation tables intervening. Perfect for our street riders or drag racers, no downside has been found with this modification. Customers and in house testing has shown small, few HP gains in the mid range, but not what this was originally designed for. Very noticeable when riding in moderate to hot climates or for those who get stuck in traffic/staging lanes. A must have! A no-brainer entry level modification that makes a noticeable difference in driving and consistency of the bike.
Removal of the “186MPH” or “299KPH” limiter in the speedo to read to 186MPH/299KPH+ and beyond. Done through bench methods in house. This requires sending the cluster into BrenTuning for programming, and is NOT part of the tune, or ECU flash process. "Shipping to" for rework not included.
